Ask ChatGPT or Claude about your farm
Connect the AI assistant you already use to your Green Growth account. It reads your fields, yield, harvest progress and machines and answers with your real numbers. Read-only, and only after you approve it.
https://api.tilltech.xyz/mcpGreen Growth runs an MCP server at https://api.tilltech.xyz/mcp. Add it as a custom connector in ChatGPT or Claude, sign in with your Green Growth web app account and click Allow. The assistant can then read your fields, yield, harvest progress, machines, calibrations and trials. It cannot change anything, and you can disconnect it at any time.
Before you start
A Green Growth account
A paid account on the Green Growth web app. The assistant sees exactly the data that account sees.
ChatGPT or Claude
A plan that allows custom connectors. If you can’t find the option, your plan may not include it: check OpenAI’s or Anthropic’s help pages.
How to connect
Both assistants ask for the same thing: the server address, then your Green Growth sign-in. Menu names change from time to time; the fields to fill in stay the same.

- 1
Open connector settings
In ChatGPT, open Settings and go to Apps & Connectors. If there is no option to add your own connector, turn on Developer mode under Advanced settings (available on paid plans).
- 2
Add Green Growth
Create a custom connector (MCP server). Name: Green Growth. URL: the server address above. Authentication: OAuth.
- 3
Sign in and allow
ChatGPT opens a Green Growth sign-in window. Sign in with your web app email and password, check what will be shared, and click Allow.
- 4
Ask
Start a new chat, turn on Green Growth for the conversation, and ask about your farm.
Claude
- 1
Open connector settings
In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans an owner adds it for the organisation.
- 2
Add Green Growth
Name: Green Growth. Remote MCP server URL: the server address above. Save.
- 3
Sign in and allow
Click Connect. Claude opens a Green Growth sign-in window: sign in with your web app account and click Allow.
- 4
Ask
In a new chat, make sure Green Growth is enabled in the tools menu, then ask about your farm.
Other MCP clients
Any client that supports remote MCP servers over HTTP with OAuth sign-in can connect with the same address. For example, in Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http greengrowth https://api.tilltech.xyz/mcpWhat you can ask
“How much have we harvested this week, and at what pace?”
“Rank my fields by average yield this season.”
“Compare wheat yield this year with the last five seasons.”
“Are any of my machines offline or missing a calibration?”
“How did the variety trial on the north field turn out?”
“Which recent satellite images of this field are cloud-free?”
What the assistant can and can’t do
It can read
- Fields, seasons and crops
- Yield statistics per field and season, harvest summaries and reports
- Harvested area, average yield and harvest progress for any date range up to a year
- Machines: status, calibrations and health checks
- Weight records and weights calculated from sensor data
- Field trials and their yield results
- Satellite (NDVI) image dates with cloud cover
It can’t
- Change, add or delete anything — every tool is read-only
- Draw maps: answers come as text and tables (open the web app for yield maps)
- See any account other than the one you sign in with
- Connect without your approval: you sign in and click Allow yourself

You stay in control
Your approval
Every new connection shows a Green Growth consent screen. Nothing is shared until you click Allow.
Disconnect any time
Settings → Integrations → AI assistants in the web app lists every connection. Disconnect stops access immediately.
Logged and limited
Each request is logged for security and support and the log is deleted after 90 days. Fair-use limits apply per account.
Frequently asked questions
What is the Green Growth MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude use outside data and tools. The Green Growth MCP server, at https://api.tilltech.xyz/mcp, gives the assistant read-only tools for your farm data: fields, yield, harvest progress, machines, calibrations, weight records and trials.
Which AI assistants can I connect?
ChatGPT and Claude, on plans that allow custom connectors. Any other MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth sign-in works too, for example Claude Code.
Can the assistant change my data?
No. Every tool the server offers is read-only. The assistant can look up and summarise your data, but it cannot edit, add or delete anything in your Green Growth account.
Does it cost extra?
There is no extra Green Growth charge: the connector is part of the Green Growth web app. You need an active Green Growth account and your own ChatGPT or Claude plan that allows custom connectors.
Who can use it?
Anyone with a paid Green Growth web app account. You also need a ChatGPT or Claude plan that allows custom connectors.
What happens to my data?
When you ask a question, the assistant fetches only what it needs for that answer, and that data is processed by your assistant provider (OpenAI or Anthropic) under your agreement with them. Green Growth logs each request (which tool, when, and the result) to keep the service secure and to help with support, and deletes the log after 90 days.
How do I disconnect it?
In the Green Growth web app, open Settings → Integrations → AI assistants and click Disconnect. Access stops immediately. You can also remove the connector in ChatGPT or Claude.
How is this different from the built-in AI Farm Assistant?
The AI Farm Assistant is built into the Green Growth web app and remembers your farm between conversations. The connector brings your Green Growth data into the assistant you already use, so you can work with it next to your own documents, spreadsheets and notes there.
ChatGPT is a trademark of OpenAI. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic. Green Growth is not affiliated with or endorsed by either company.
